Education and Training
Education and Training
The Center and the Institute jointly contribute to the national and international visibility and reputation of UNC in the field of nanomedicine. We sponsor conferences, workshops and seminars that share knowledge about the latest research and advances in nanotechnologies in drug delivery.
Conferences
NanoDDS
Since 2003 the annual Nanomedicine and Drug Delivery Symposium (NanoDDS) is held each year in a different location across North America. Over the years, NanoDDS has attracted nearly 3000 participants from around the globe. Find out more here.
Workshops
Carolina Nanoformulation Workshop
Launched in 2016, the one week long Carolina Nanoformulation Workshop (CNW) is a unique training opportunity for both industry and academia that focuses on nanotechnology-based approaches to address pharma and biopharma needs for delivery of clinically relevant molecules. Find out more here.
Seminars
Several times a year, we are honored to host distinguished speaker seminars at UNC-Chapel Hill for interested faculty, postdocs, graduate students and staff. The seminars are made possible through the joint efforts of CNDD, C-CCNE, and CINM. Many seminars are recorded and may be accessed remotely. Find out more here.
Training
T32 Postdoctoral Training Program
Jointly with the CNDD, the Institute has helped develop an innovative and unique postdoctoral training program in cancer nanotechnology. This 24 to 36 month National Cancer Institute–sponsored T32 postdoctoral training program’s goal is to equip a cohort of outstanding young scientists with the multidisciplinary concepts and skills needed to improve cancer diagnosis and therapy based on concepts, tools and discoveries made in nanoscience and nanotechnology. The program accepts three fellows each year. Find out more here.
